Anyway, so I'm not going to recap what happened to me last week, because honestly? I can't remember. Instead, I'll recap whatever happened since the last post. Most important news is that I got my IGCSE results. For those of you who don't know, that's like the British version of SATs. I know what you're thinking. What the hell does Egypt (my home country), have to do with the UK! Well, a) as we've established before, I'm awesome, and the UK will just have to deal with that, and b) Cambridge offers the British educational system for international students like myself.
So, yes technically that makes me 1000% British*.
*No it doesn't.
And in case you're wondering, I got straight A*s, which was better than all the chocolate cupcakes in the world combined. I still have two sessions to complete, and then I'm out of high school for good.
But there something I wanted to tell you guys about. I have a dream.
OK, it's more of an idea, really. I've been seeing a lot of bloggers going into the realm of vlogging and honestly? I'm envious of ya'll. So I had this idea, what if all the bloggers collaborate to make one awesome video?! What the video will be about, I'm not sure. Maybe we could all talk about what reading means to us, the weirdest thing we've ever read, the best scene you've ever come across. The possibilities are endless! And I'll do the editing and stuff.
This is just an idea I had, and I wanted to know who might be interested.
Now, here's what happened on I Read & Tell:
- I asked you a couple of Would You Rather questions, with a bookish twist to it.
- I reviewed and posted a giveaway for Switch by Janelle Stalder.
- I pointed out how I categorize the villains, from annoying to awesome.
Around the Blogosphere:
- Charlotte @Gypsy Reviews shares her reasons to be grateful for blogging.
- Kat @Cuddlebuggery helps you decide how sexy a book is in this hilarious video
- Asti @A Bookish Heart shares her book blogging manifesto
- Eve @Paper Sanctuary points the annoying characteristics in YA heroines.
- Christina @Christina Reads YA discusses book openings.
- Chrys @Oh Chrys discusses the drama that surrounds Goodreads.
- The Happy Booker gives tips for overcoming a reviewing slump.
- Shannelle @Tracery of Ink shares a gif-filled post about the hard life of newbie bloggers (it's hilarious).
- Carrie @The Mad Reviewer gives you tips on how to read fast.
- Bekka @Pretty Deadly Reviews shares her book blogging rules. (Love this.)
- Shelly @Shelly's Rambles talks about bloggers and their friendships.
This is probably 0.0009% of the posts I commented and loved last week, but I'm having a hard time navigating Bloglovin' right now. Will add the rest soon, hopefully.
Also, here's something important:
Meg from Ink Skies has recently started her own solo blog, by the name A Drift On Vulcan. Shower her with love, will ya? ;)

Thou has misspelled my name. But it is alright, because you are not alone.
And aww, I want to go to this school of yours. I want to try and get out of the Philippines for college.
Wow, congrats on getting straight A*'s! I'm actually going to be sitting for my IGCSE next May/June and I'm SUPER nervous, because I'm a homeschooler and expectations for us are, like, incredibly high. I can't wait to get out of school either. *sigh*
ABOUT YOUR DREAM: I LOVE IT. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT. I've been wanting to do a vlog too - like you, I've been influenced - but I'm just too chicken. Besides, I'm afraid no one will understand me with my super weird accent. But if I'm doing it with a bunch of other book bloggers... that's not too bad! ;) Let me know if you take this any further!
And oh my god, Reem, you're the best. <3 Thanks so much for that shoutout!
There's just so many blogs out there to visit you know. I thought I've visited all of them all but it turns out that I still missed some blogs here and there. Waaaa! Anyway, I just have to tell myself that I am not superwoman or any book superhero. It also annoyed me that my connection was intermittent during the past few days. *sighs* It totally ruined my blog hop. Argh!
Once again, thanks for the list, Reem. I just hope that my connection is doing good today so I can pay those links a visit.
And good luck to your vlogging plan. I am excited to watch it. I don't think I'd volunteer myself though. I really have a horrible accent. Bwahaahaha!
And congratz for passing IGSCE and getting straight As! I'm really unfamiliar about the British Educational System though. But still, congratz! :D
Haha, I am not a huge fan of making videos, but only because I wish I had better equipment and editing skills and whatnot. My skills are so pathetic. But, I'd contribute something if you were to do it! And go you for the straight A*s! I can only hope I become as British as you someday ;)
Congratulions on your straight A's!! That's my baby villain ;) hahahaha
And I like your idea for the video. I might join someday, when I get over my fear of cameras. ;D
WOOT WOOT, congrats on your straight As!! It'd be bloody awesome if you got to go to uni in the UK :DD. Good luck with the next two!
As for the video... I too am envious of the vloggers. I made one and then laughed at myself. But a compilation would be really cool. How would that work out though? How do you mesh the different parts together?
Ooh, I always pay extra attention to your name because I see it mispelled on other Recaps. Guess I missed this time :P
Oh, and same here. I might apply for internships, who knows :D
Wow! I didn't know you were an IGCSE! I understand the nerve wreck, I was there! But trust me, it's easier than most teachers will have you believe. They made my life hell claiming it was tough and everything. Good luck though!
And YAAAY!! I might actually do a post giving all the details soon. I'm glad people are enthusiastic about it, you know :D
Oh, and best of luck with your blog too <3 Felt like I NEEDED to share the news ;)
Oh, I've seen you complaining about it on Twitter. Internet connection is terrible here too, and it goes out for like two straight days! But you're great at commenting anyway :D
And I really wish you could. No worries though, it's still all an idea. but I might nag on you a little once I start the post. You know, one's gotta try ;)
YES! We have Asti on board! Woohoo :P
Oh, and you just can't be as British as I am. It's too hard, Asti. Too.. hard..
You know what they say.. good grades and villainy are synonymous. No one says that but whatever.
You should totally get on board!! It'll be awesome!
Haha, thank you!! :) And I'd love it if I can go to uni in the UK!! It's my dream.
I'm thinking of making a post about to make everything clear, but here's an example because I'm terrible at explaining :P http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51VxDyhm0zw
I've really wanted to do vlogging as well! A compilation would be so freaking epic! So yeah, I'd totally join :D If you're okay with an Aussie accent haha
And this might be slightly weird because this is only the second (I think?) time I've interacted with you, but congrats on your results! :D
That would be great! I'm going to make a post soon, with all the details. Oh, and I wouldn't mind the accent at all. I have one myself :D
And thank you! that's really nice of you :D
Congrats!! I'm so happy for you ^^
I would absolutely love to be involved in the compilation :D I just got into vlogging and I'm really enjoying it!
That's so awesome that you got into vlogging! I didn't know that! I'm probably going to make a post with all the details and stuff.
Congrats!!! And I hope you get into an uni in the UK :)
fingers crossed! Thank you :)
