Delirium heading to TV!

First off, I'd like to apologize for the rant that is to follow. When I first picked up Delirium, there was talk to a movie project, to be released in 2014.
And you know what? I was fine! I really was.
Fast forward a couple of weeks, and I had finished both Delirium and Pandemonium, still no word on the upcoming "movie" and I was like..
I was in no rush to see the movie made, and I will get to that later. Anywho, a couple of days ago(I think?) the bombshell was dropped: Delirium was going to be a TV show!
Now, at first I just didn't believe it. Of all the books I've read recently, Delirium is the least suitable to be made into a TV show. A movie, that I understood; it was Hollywood material. A swoon worthy guy, nice  girl, and an amazing love story' it had all the elements.
However a TV show isn't quite as good to wrap my head around. First, while Delirium is a good book, there isn't really that much plot twists for it to be re-made into a TV show. Which naturally means that the producers and writers will add their own. I think this is where the Delirium fandom will be enraged by all the differences. Already there are articles saying how the pilot episode might cover the first book's entire plot and that Julian will be introduced all from the start.
          Not.Good.
Then comes the bigger problem. The casting. Emma Roberts is already cast as Lena. I'm not sure what my opinion is about that yet. I mean, I like Emma. She's an okay actress when placed in the right movies. They could've done worse.
But what about Hanna? Will they go for the blond hot bombshell? I mean, Hanna is supposed to be good looking, but she's also such a sweet character (one of my favourite characters) and  one that I wasn't expecting to actually like.
And now, let's all cross finger and pray and hope this wouldn't be the next twilight in the making, shall we? Because honestly, I can easily see it going that road.
