You guys liked it the first time, so I thought Round Two was in order! Let's begin the fun..
Would you rather have your entire book collection terribly ruined, or give them away to your biggest enemy in perfect condition?
This is tough. Like really. I'm the kind of person who can't handle a dog ear.
What the hell am I supposed to do with a terribly ruined book collection?
But then again, ain't now way I'm giving my babies to my biggest enemy. They stay with me.
Naaah, it's too hard.
Would you rather have a friend that spoils every book/movie for you, or one that points out every plot hole?
The plot hole asshole, I have to say. I mean, I don't mind someone pointing the flaws of a book or movie. I do it myself all the time. Someone spoiling them, on the other hand, will be in danger.
Would you rather have all books in the world be in your favorite genre, or anything but?
Seeing as my favorite genre is fantasy, I'll have to go with the first choice. Because fantasy includes a whoooole lot of sub genres, so I'll never get bored.

I want to know your answers! Let me know in the comments, or on your blog (be sure to leave me a link to your post).
Yes, I'm the first one to comment! Bwahahaha. Oh Reem, what are your rituals to have all these craziness coming into your head? :D
ReplyDeleteMercy! I don't even know whether I want to answer all the questions. They're very very hard. Argh! But anyway, these are all what ifs so...
1. My books will stay with me even if they're ruined. I couldn't afford seeing my enemy so happy while I am crying for my lost books. So no way.
2. I'll stick with reading. Come on, if you have a supernatural power, you'll be forced to become the hero or the villain. And majority of our heroes and villains ended up dying tragically. So NO!
3. Plot hole. No questions asked. Plot hole asshole is a really good rhyme. <3
4. First choice too for exactly the same reasons. The sub genres for Fantasy are already making me dizzy. UF, PNF, Adventure, Magic...waaaa, what else?
Great post, Reem!
Man, these questions are tough.
ReplyDelete1. I'd rather give them away. Even though it's my greatest enemy, I'd rather my books be enjoyed by someone instead of being completely ruined. I can always buy more books later I guess.
2. Reading. I mean, superpowers are awesome, but not being able to read would be horrible. Also, with great power comes great responsibility. I aint ready for that responsibility lol
3. Well, I probably AM that plot hole asshole, so if I had a friend who was also one we could point them out together haha.
4. Favourite genre hands down. My favourite is fantasy as well! So many subgenres :D
Yay, round two!!
ReplyDeleteI would definitely give all my books to my greatest enemy. Not that I really HAVE any enemies, but at least the books would live on and hopefully TEACH that person something.
LOL No way I would give up my ability to read for a supernatural ability! Unless that ability was something like... being able to look at or touch anything and instantly understand everything about it (which basically includes reading, only better... and translates to more than just books).
Hahahaha plot holes! I am that friend, for sure. So of course, that's the friend I'd choose, so we could scoff at everything together! :P
I think I'll have to agree with you on the last one, too. Although I do wonder if I would get tired of fantasy books after a while. But also it would be kinda difficult to choose which genre is my favorite. Hrm...
No, this is too hard. No, you can't make me do this. Noooooooo.
ReplyDeleteWell, let me just do the easiest one because I can never resist a Would You Rather!
3. I would rather a friend that spoils a book or movie for me because honestly, I would have done it myself sooner or later. So you know, if they do it for me, that just saves me effort! And gosh, I know this is such a bad habit but I can't help it! I just need to know!
I love that there's a round two for this!
ReplyDelete1) Okay I just gave a way about 14 or 15 of my books to the Library and they were all in EXCELLENT condition. The Librarian even said to me "WOW, your books are in great condition." No dog-earing, no marks they were pretty much spotless. Well maybe it helped that I hadn't read some of them and I knew I wasn't going to read them. I think I'm somewhere in the middle lol? Does that count as answer? I don't mind giving some of my books away to my worst enemy-especially the ones I know I won't read again.
2)Lol nice question Reem ;). And my answer is hell-to-the-no. I don't know what my life would be like if I didn't have reading. I would think it would be rather dull.
3)I'd rather have the plotholes friend. I can work with that since I do the same thing. Spoilers on the other hand-unless it's a book I don't mind being spoiled.
4)I think I'd go with anything but. I don't have a favourite genre and I tend to get bored just one genre.
1. Definitely keeping my books, no doubt about it!
ReplyDelete2. I need my reading abilities or I'd probably get so bored! And no superpower (even flight or possessing all the powers) would make me want to pass up the chance to read some great books!
3. The friend who points out all the plot holes. I hate to say it but I am definitely the plot hole asshole in my group!
4. Hmm, I don't really have a favourite genre but I guess I'd have to say yes. Who wouldn't want to read their favourite types of books all the time. But it would get repetitive!
Great post and thinks for sharing! I had fun reading (and responding to) your opinions! :)
YESS! I love your comments, you know that :D
ReplyDeleteAnd I had to up the game this time. Last rounds question we're too easy. *puts on shades* I don't do easy.
YES!! That's the spirit. Selflessness is overrated. My babies stay with me.
I know, right? Things wouldn't end well, and you'd have to conceal your superpower or become like a clown for other people. So meeehh.
It's the easy way out. Spoiler would be a jerk, basically.
Yay!! Glad you're a fantasy fanatic as well :D
It's the best choice, obviously, but what can I say, I'm greedy when it comes to books. And a little insane, but more on that later.
ReplyDeleteYou said it, Nara! I don't do responsibility. The only way I might consider it is if the superpower is time control.
I am too!! Although I try to keep it down while seeing a movie with friends.
Yaay for fantasy! It's awesome, isn't it?
I tried to think of my greatest enemy, and came up with fictional ones. Err, I don't know what to make of that. Good choice, though!
ReplyDeleteWow, you have a point there! I still don't think it would be the same as reading, but it is tempting! Then again, that still means writing is out of the window, huh?
Yes! I know you're like me when it comes to movies. We just can't stand the damn plot holes.
I wouldn't worry about it. Fantasy is ridiculously varied, plus.. it's fantasy. The genre pretty much lives off of randomness.
Haaa!! it's my evil plan, obviously.
ReplyDeleteOoh, you don't mind knowing the ending? I don't know, I guess that's not an entirely bad thing. I can't read a book if someone spoils it, but you're tougher than I am :P There you go!
Ha! Yeah, it was suggested by one of the bloggers :P
ReplyDeleteGahh, you're so awesome for doing that! I'm pretty sure some people would find them pretty helpful.
Yup, you got that right! Reading is ridiculously important, and not just for books.
I do the same thing too! I hate movies that are badly thought out.
Oh, wow, you're the first one that picked that! :P but yeah, if you don't have a favourite genre, it makes sense.
Ha! Had to up the level somehow :P Last time's were too easy.
ReplyDeleteNice plan!! Like really, that's some evil plan right there.
I know right? Reading is awesome. Plus, what if like, I'm about to drink poison, and I have no idea it is, because I can't read the damn label? How's my superpower gonna work for me then?
Yes! I'd like a plot hole asshole. It would be fun being a critic with someone else for a change.
Yes for Fantasy, and yes for contemporary biting the dust. It's my least favourite.
Nice choice there! Most people picked the same.
ReplyDeleteHa! Yeah, I agree with that.
Spoilers are tough! I couldn't handle them either.
Haha! That's understandable. I guess it's depends on your fav. genre.
Yay for book keeping :P
ReplyDeleteBut flight would be awesome, wouldn't it? I'd get bored pretty easily, though.
Me too! It's fun, really :P
It depends on the genre, but I agree with your pick :)
Thanks! And hey, if you see this, can you leave me a link to your blog? I can't seem to find it.
Sorry about that, I'm not used to using Disqus! My urls is: http://shellysrambles.blogspot.ca/
ReplyDelete1, Ruined or not, my books are MINE - said the only child who has never learnt the meaning of sharing.
ReplyDelete2, What kind of super power are we talking about exactly? Because I really LOVE reading, but I think you would be able to tempt me if it was something like flying or mind-reading. There'd always be audiobooks, right?
3, definitely the latter one :)
4, this is hard, I don't really have A FAVORITE genre....I think I'll pass this one
I love doing things like this. So much fun.
ReplyDelete1. I thought about this one a bit and I think I would give the books to my enemy. It would suck, but at least they wouldn't be harmed (to my knowledge). Like, what am I going to do with a bunch of books that probably can't even be read anymore? D: Though it does depend on the type and extent of the damage. Haha.
2. Unless I can jimmy reading into my supernatural ability I would never do it. I mean, it'd be way cool to have a power of some sort, but without being able to read or write? That won't fly.
3. One that points out plot holes. While that can be annoying in its own right I can't stand it when people spoil things for me. I've had people do both and spoiling is by far the worst. I sometimes point out plot holes, so whatever. I find it very easy to say oh well and keep reading/watching.
4. This hurts my heart to say, but I'd rather all the books be anything but my favorite. I don't really do "favorites", but the first thing that popped into my head while I read that question was contemporary… which is just our world. I think you get what I mean. Why would I get rid of all the paranormals and fantasies of the world for books about ours as it is? I like having both though. Haha.
HAha!! I've had to share almost everything, but my books are a no no.
ReplyDeleteFlying is cool and all, but wouldn't it get boring?
Good choice, Cayce :P
Ha! this was really hard for me too, but since fantasy is so diverse, it's a no brainer.
Yaay! Glad you like this :)
ReplyDeleteNo, by all means, your choice is spot on. The only reason I'd keep them is because I is a little bit selfish when I is about to give up books :P
I know, right? I mean, no job, no future, nothing. And all because you can't read.
I actually watch this channels on youtube that points out plot holes, and it's really entertaining. Even my absolute favourite movies have plot holes, so..
Oooh, I see why you'd pick that then. I definitely have a favourite genre, although I think book blogging made me open up to other genres as well.
Oh, and don't apologize to me! This is awesome :)
Ruin my perfect books or give them away.. I think I'd rather give them away and make friends with the enemy, haha. I just can't ruin them.
ReplyDeleteWhat do I get to do with a supernatural power the whole day? No thanks. I'd rather be a reader :D
I'd rather have someone who shows me the plot holes.
Seeing that I'm addicited to buying books, I have no problem with buying books only in my favorite genre (which is probably fantasy too, since fairytales is a sort of subgenre :p)
Mel@thedailyprophecy.
Would you rather have your entire book collection terribly ruined, or give them away to your biggest enemy in perfect condition?
ReplyDeleteGive them away to my biggest enemy in perfect condition. Perhaps
my enemy will no longer be my enemy once he/she comes to share my opinions... YOU CAN'T HANDLE DOG EARS? I'm sorry, we can't be friends.
Would you rather give away your reading ability (forever) for a supernatural one?
Hmmmmmmmmm well it depends on the supernatural ability. I mean I love reading, but let's be real here, Reem. There are DEFINITE temptations. Life is tough without reading but half the world manages to survive. And we could still write! Assuming we didn't have to give away any of our understanding either...
Would you rather have a friend that spoils every book/movie for you, or one that points out every plot hole?
Depends on what you mean by spoiling the movie; spoilers don't actually bother me. I'd probably say the plot hole asshole though because that's a legitimate point to make in any review. HP had a bunch but who cares? Still awesome, right?
Would you rather have all books in the world be in your favorite genre, or anything but?
I'm confused. Why would anyone choose the second option? You'd be bereft of your favorite genre - few books could ever compare. I understand potentially getting bored with your favorite genre if forced to read again and again but but but that will always happen regardless of one genre versus the next.
OFCOURSE I CAN'T!! Who can handle dog earing book? Stuff like that are hard, man!
ReplyDeleteI don't know.. You won't have a job, and the internet could go bye bye bye. There are a lot of things that depend on the ability of reading, man.
And YES about HP having plot holes. Everything does, and I wouldn't mind someone pointing them out. It makes it more fun, really.
Some people did! If your favourite genre is contemp. would you want to read it all the time? Some genres are more diverse than others though, so it's a no brainer :P
1. I think I would stick with the ruins and hope that they aren't so bad that I can't read them.
ReplyDelete2. I wouldn't give up my reading ability for any supernatural one out there :)
3. I would definitely choose the plot hole asshole! I can't handle spoilers!
4. This one is the hardest of the bunch! I tend to get bored with one genre if I read too much of the same one, but I couldn't do without my favorite genre either! So, I think I'm going to cheat and skip this question ;)
Great post!
Christy @ Christy's Book
Addiction
MAAAAAHN this is hard! But great idea Reem :D
ReplyDelete1. .... both seem equally horrible, but I would really really HATE to see my books at the hands of my mortal enemy, in perfect condition no less! I'd rather just stick with the ruins, sell my phone and my laptop and my tablet and my brother (HAHAHA NO) to replace a few of them, then start rebuilding it slowly. I don't have a capital M Massive shelf, so I don't have as much to lose XD
2. No supernatural comes close to the ability to read. That in itself FEELS supernatural, thank you very much.
3. Oh, deffo the plot hole asshole! I'm one of them a lot of the time, so I'd rather have another me than a party pooper armed with spoilers D:
4. Anything but?! AW HELL NO. My favorite genre is my legit favorite genre, which is fantasy, and I'd die without that. Contemporary can bite the dust (although I do love a lot of contempo books).
Great post Reem! So much fun:)
